DESCRIPTION:Come to this poster session to see what STEM students researched with faculty at WSU Pullman this summer. Sixty-seven students from New York to Southern California and Florida to Washington participated in summer undergraduate research programs with mentoring faculty and their lab staff. The visiting students represent 42 universities in 21 states and are taking part in several projects focused on such topics as gerontology\, crop resiliency\, waves in the universe and technology\, plant genomes\, and race and policing. The symposium is free and open to the public\, and all are invited.

DESCRIPTION:Two new galleries featuring undergraduate research posters are in Terrell Library and Owen Science and Engineer Library\, and an afternoon ceremony will officially dedicate the exhibits. The gallery exhibits are the result of a collaboration between WSU Libraries and the Office of Undergraduate Research\, a DAESA program. Guest speaker at the event will be alum Julian Reyes\, Climate Adaptation Program Lead for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management in Washington\, D.C. The public is welcome.

SUMMARY:SURCA (Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities)
DESCRIPTION:Undergraduates engaged in mentored research\, scholarship\, and creative activity will present posters to judges and the community at this popular\, annual event. SURCA has become a WSU tradition featuring around 200 student presenters from all majors\, years in college\, and campuses; most are in-person but some presentations may be virtual. Presentations can be in any of nine categories\, covering the wide scope of research being done by students with faculty mentors. Guests are welcome to browse posters and talk to student presenters from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in the CUB Senior Ballroom\, and to attend the awards event starting at 5:00 p.m. in the CUB Aud.

SUMMARY:Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:On the final day of the WSU-hosted Summer Undergraduate Research program\, students from universities across the country\, including WSU\, will share their mentored summer research results at a free and public poster event. \nThe posters will show work and results from more than 70 students’ mentored projects across many STEM disciplines. The symposium is hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research. \nThe welcome and keynote address at 9:00 a.m. will feature a guest speaker. That session will be in-person in CUE 203 and on Zoom. \nStudents will be at their posters starting at 10 a.m. to discuss their efforts and findings with guests and other students. All are welcome to attend!
