LSAMP: Connecting Community Colleges to WSU

WSU LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation) hosts its annual "Connecting Community Colleges to WSU" event Nov. 16-19. Though this year's event will be virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions, community college students throughout the state will learn a lot about WSU's research, admissions, advising, scholarships, and much more through this popular and well-anticipated set of programming.

OAE: FAFSA/WASFA Fest (see also Oct. 7)

The Office of Academic Engagement presents: FAFSA and WASFA Fest. The event will be held on Oct. 7, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and on Nov. 19 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

The Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) is hosting their fifth Annual FAFSA Fest. At this event, OAE staff members will assist Pullman undergraduate students in completing their FAFSAs and WSU General Scholarship applications. Two separate events will be hosted on the Zoom platform and are planned for Wed., Oct. 7, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and Thurs., Nov. 19, 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Students are asked to register for the event on Qualtrics.

WSU participation in the National Survey for Student Engagement (NSSE)

Every other year, WSU joins hundreds of colleges participating in the National Survey for Student Engagement (NSSE). First-year and senior students have the opportunity throughout March to complete the online survey.

WSU Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (SURCA)

This is WSU's only event that allows students from all majors, years in college, and campuses to present their research, scholarship, and creative activities to judges and the public. Top presenters in nine categories can win awards. Judges are guest experts from WSU and beyond. Awards will be presented this week. SURCA is part of WSU Showcase.

Law Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching is Thurs., April 1, 2021.  Notification of the results of the selection committee's decision will be made in mid April.
